Wines and farm products

 

Many farms of the Pays Viennois are open to the public for tours and of course tasting and purchase of their products: snails, butter, cheeses, foie gras, poultry, asparagus, strawberries, apples, fruit juice, ostrich meat, pâtés, and sausages.

A wide range of very high-quality farm products will satisfy every taste, and a warm friendly welcome makes your visit even more worthwhile.

-List of farms available from the tourist office (Brochures: Produits de la ferme du Viennois au Chambaran ('Farm Products from the Viennois to Chambaran') and Association des Saveurs du terroir ('Association of Flavours from the Farm')).

-A wide selection of regional produce (alcohol, honey, jam, etc.) is available for sale at the le Restique restaurant and the Vins et Terroirs wine bar. 

-The tourist office also organises gastronomic excursions in Vienne and the surrounding area.

Flavourful treasures in the Pays de Vienne:

Tour and tasting at the Colombier distillery in Villette de Vienne (eau de vie based on Poire William (Pear Brandy) - an original creation)

Tasting of the delicious crème de cassis from the Domaine de Bonnevaux in Arzay,

Tour of the Palais du chocolat ('Chocolate Palace') in Côte-Saint-André (30 min east of Vienne),

Cherry-Rocher liqueur museum in Côte-Saint-André.
